Ocean Link Sea Services shall not be responsible for any independent decision, policy, delay, cancellation, change in schedule or service failure caused by a third-party organisation, except to the extent required under applicable law.

3. Eligibility and Candidate Responsibility

Candidates are responsible for providing correct and complete information and documents.

The candidate must ensure that:

  • All educational documents submitted are genuine and accurate.
  • All personal information is correct.
  • Medical information provided is complete and truthful.
  • The candidate satisfies applicable eligibility requirements.
  • The candidate complies with the rules of the relevant training institute and regulatory authorities.
  • The candidate submits required documents within the specified deadline.

4. Fees and Payments

The candidate agrees to pay the applicable fees, including registration fees, seat-booking fees, training fees, medical examination fees, documentation charges and any other charges communicated for the selected service or programme.

Before making any payment, candidates are advised to carefully review and understand the applicable fee structure, payment schedule, refund policy and cancellation terms.

Seat-Booking Fee – Non-Refundable

The seat-booking fee paid by the candidate for reserving a seat in a training programme is strictly NON-REFUNDABLE.

Once the seat-booking payment has been received and the seat has been reserved in the candidate’s name, the seat-booking fee shall not be refunded in case of:

  • Candidate cancellation or withdrawal;
  • Change of mind or change of career decision;
  • Failure to join the training programme;
  • Failure to complete admission formalities within the specified time;
  • Personal or family reasons;
  • Failure to arrange an education loan or other financial assistance;
  • Failure to submit required documents within the prescribed deadline; or
  • Any other reason attributable to the candidate.

The seat-booking fee is collected for reserving and allocating the training seat and for initiating the related admission/administrative process. Therefore, once the payment is made and the seat is reserved, the amount shall not be refundable or transferable, except where a refund is expressly required under applicable law or specifically agreed in writing by the concerned training institute/Ocean Link Sea Services.

Payment of a seat-booking fee does not constitute a guarantee of employment, onboard placement, salary, vessel allocation or future employment.

Candidates are required to read and understand these terms before making the seat-booking payment.

5. Seat Booking and Cancellation

Where a seat-booking amount is applicable, the amount shall be subject to the specific terms and conditions communicated to the candidate at the time of booking.

Seat-booking charges may be non-refundable where expressly stated in the applicable admission/booking terms.

Once a seat is reserved or administrative/admission processes have been initiated, cancellation by the candidate may not entitle the candidate to a refund, subject to the specific refund policy communicated for that particular programme.

Candidates are advised to read and understand the applicable refund and cancellation terms before making payment.

6. Refund Policy

Refund eligibility shall be determined according to the refund policy applicable to the particular service, training institute or programme.

Where a third-party training institute has separately issued its own refund policy, that policy shall apply to the amount paid to that institute, subject to applicable law.

Ocean Link Sea Services will not represent a payment as refundable where the applicable written terms expressly state that the payment is non-refundable.

Any approved refund shall be processed within the applicable period specified in the relevant refund policy, after verification and completion of the required formalities.

7. Training Fees

Training fees may include, depending upon the selected programme:

  • Training;
  • Accommodation;
  • Food;
  • Books/study material;
  • Uniform/dress material;
  • Documentation assistance;
  • Examination-related charges;
  • Other facilities specifically mentioned in the applicable fee structure.

The exact inclusions and exclusions shall be communicated to the candidate before admission.

Any changes made by the training institute or regulatory authority may affect the programme schedule, fees, facilities or requirements.

8. Education Loan / Financial Assistance

Where candidates are guided regarding education loans or financial assistance, Ocean Link Sea Services only provides coordination or general assistance.

Approval, sanction, disbursement, interest rate, repayment terms and other conditions are determined by the concerned bank or financial institution.

Loan approval is not guaranteed by Ocean Link Sea Services.
